- 5% on the entry plan. Essentials is $59, takes 5% of sales and allows one product. On $5,000 of sales, that fee is $250, four times the plan price.
- AI is an allowance. “Kartra AI uses” run 30 / 100 / 250 / 250 a month by tier, a quota rather than an automation substrate.
- No first-party agent surface found. Kartra's own support pages call its APIs “for advanced users with programming skills only” with “very limited” support (support.kartra.com).

The catch: the learning curve is its most-cited complaint, the per-send email rate is unpublished, and add-ons price per sub-account.
Kajabi: the most polished all-in-one

Teachable: if you only need the course half

The catch: active students metered at 100 / 1,000 / 5,000, and no REST API below $189 a month.

Where AXL fits, and where it does not
It fits the Kartra user whose list grows faster than their revenue, and who wants AI to be a working surface rather than a monthly quota.
It does not fit somebody whose support desk lives inside Kartra, or who values a long, boring track record over surface area. Kartra is mature and stable, and that is a legitimate thing to buy.
