Which business platforms ship an MCP server
Six of the nine platforms tracked here ship a first-party MCP server. What separates them is what the agent may write, which plan unlocks it, and whether a write goes live or lands as a draft.
Nine platforms, read on the same day
| Platform | First-party MCP server, and where we read it | Plan gate | What a write does | What the agent reaches |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| AXL | Yes, production: axl.tech/developers | Every account | Creates the live object; publishing and sending stay separate, deliberate calls | ~1,100 operations: CRM, sites, checkout, courses and tests, webinars, automations, broadcasts, chats |
| Kajabi | Yes, live: kajabi.com/product/mcp | Every plan, monthly or annual | Lands as a draft; a human publishes from the admin | Pages, emails, offers, courses, contacts, orders, tags, segments, blog posts, site settings |
| GoHighLevel | Yes, generally available: its MCP docs | Not stated in the official docs | Full writes | "Hundreds of operations across 40 domains": marketing and sales; one agent can reach every sub-account |
| Circle | Yes, live on Admin API v2: api.circle.so/mcp | Business, $199 | Full writes within the community; 5,000 tool calls a month on Business | Members, spaces, posts, events, courses, tags, search, analytics and transcripts |
| ClickFunnels | Yes, technical preview: its support docs | Scale, $197 | Read-only or full read-write: the admin chooses at setup | Funnels, contacts, products and stores, course creation, sites and blogs, opportunities |
| Thinkific | Yes, still rolling out: Thinkific's MCP guide | Plus only, custom-priced | Read-only: retrieves and displays information but cannot make changes | Courses, learners, enrollments, products and bundles |
| Teachable | We found none: teachable.com/pricing | REST API from Growth, $189 | Via a Zapier wrapper: two actions | Create a user, enrol a user |
| Kartra | We found none: kartra.com/integrations-and-apis | API on every plan | Via a Zapier wrapper | Inbound API, webhooks and order notifications, described by Kartra as for programmers |
| Skool | We found none, and no public REST API; this comes from third-party trackers | Not applicable | Community servers only, on reverse-engineered endpoints with session cookies | Officially: Stripe payment webhooks and a limited Zapier connection |
One plan gate remains weaker than the rest, and we would rather say so. Thinkific's status, Plus gate and read-only scope come from its official support guide, checked 21 August 2026. GoHighLevel's plan gate is not stated in its official docs; third parties report a specific tier, and we will not print that as fact. "We found none" means we did not find one on the pages named; it does not mean that none exists.
Three questions worth more than "do they have one"
Which plan unlocks it?
Kajabi includes it on every plan, which is genuinely generous. Circle starts at $199 and ClickFunnels at $197, Thinkific at a custom-priced tier, and GoHighLevel does not say.
Does a write go live?
Read-only is a different product from read-write, and a draft is a different product from a live object. This is the axis most comparisons skip, and it decides whether the agent finishes a job or hands you one.
How much of the business does it reach?
Each server covers its own product. A community server reaches community objects; a marketing server reaches marketing objects. Coverage is what decides whether one agent can do the whole job.
"All write actions through Kajabi MCP land as drafts. You review and publish everything from the Kajabi admin UI, so there's always a human checkpoint before anything goes live."
kajabi.com/product/mcp. It is a defensible design, and it is the clearest published statement any of these vendors makes about what its agent may do.
What AXL claims, and what it does not
AXL is not "the only platform with an MCP server." Five of the others ship one, and two of those are good. Three narrower claims survive checking.
- •Coverage. Roughly 1,100 operations across the whole business (CRM, courses, webinars, email, automation, payments and sites) rather than one product's surface.
- •Completion. The agent builds the page, prices the product, wires the automation and stages the campaign. Publishing and sending are separate, deliberate calls; the human step is the consequential one rather than every one.
- •Documented guardrails. 21 sensitive operations (billing writes, API-token minting, role and permission changes, admin creation) are removed from the AI surface in the server, not the prompt. We could not find a competitor that documents which operations it removes.
Every client connects the same way: one line and a browser sign-in, from Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Windsurf, VS Code or Cline. What an agent actually finishes →
Asked about agent access
It is a standard way for an AI assistant to use a product's own operations instead of clicking its screens. You connect an assistant you already pay for, it discovers what the platform can do, and it calls those operations on your behalf under your permissions. The interesting part is which operations the vendor exposes, and what happens when the agent writes.
Yes, and it is included on every plan, monthly or annual, which is more generous than most gates on this page. Its own page states that write actions land as drafts and that you publish from the Kajabi admin, and it lists analytics, payments, live email blasts and theme code as out of scope. AXL against Kajabi in full.
Pick by the shape of your business, not by the protocol. If you run client accounts, agency-wide reach is the differentiator (AXL vs GoHighLevel); if the community is the product, Circle's server covers what you sell (AXL vs Circle); if you want an agent across CRM, courses, webinars and campaigns at once, coverage is the axis and that is where AXL is strongest. All three are real products, and the table above is how to check us.
Ask each vendor two things: which operations are removed from the agent's reach, and what happens on publish or send. On AXL, 21 sensitive operations are removed in the server, and publishing a page or sending a broadcast are separate, deliberate calls rather than side effects of building. Whatever you choose, connect it with an account whose permissions you would be comfortable seeing used.
Connect the assistant you already pay for.
One line, then a browser sign-in. Ask it to build something and check its work in the admin.
