Charge for access and let the CRM decide who can read, comment or publish.
Group spaces into sections, gate each permission with a contact filter, and run subscriptions in the same account as courses, orders and messages.
- Spaces. Create unlimited spaces, organise them in sections and give each its own address.
- Permissions. Set view, like, comment and publish access separately with CRM filters.
- Subscriptions. Control period, trial, renewal cap, retry ladder, grace period and pause.
- One member record. Buying, learning, posting and failed payments stay on the same contact.

AXL takes no percentage of member payments. Your payment provider still charges its normal processing fee, and the separate AXL bill is metered from a $49 Starter plan.
Limits: one community per account, no discovery feed and no branded app-store app. The member portal is a web app on your own domain.
Launch a paid space with a working renewal ladder.
A locked space, a way to buy into it, and a dunning sequence that runs without you. Step 05 needs a payment provider. Running it free? Do 03 alone.
- 01 Create the subscription Any period in days or months, and a trial price. Products
- 02 Set the renewal ladder Set retry rules before you launch. Product → Subscription
- 03 Make the section and space Leave it open to everyone for now. Community → Sections
- 04 Write the gate as a filter When a subscription lapses the space locks again, back to the “Get access” button. Space → Permissions
- 05 Point the lock at a checkout A block on your page, not a redirect. Pages → Sites → your payment page
- 06 Build the failed-renewal ladder Offer a pause, not a cancellation. A paused member can return. Scenarios → Scenarios
“Create a $49/month subscription with a $9 first month, three retries over five days and a three-day grace period. Then a locked space where view, comment and publish need an active subscription. Build the failed-renewal scenario and leave it switched off.”

Questions people actually ask.
A CRM contact filter is applied separately to viewing, liking, commenting and publishing. It uses the same filter grammar as a segment, including course completion. The filter maintains itself. You can still grant one person access by hand from their contact card, with an end date or a preset duration.
At your portal, on a subdomain or your own domain, with one login for the community and the courses. Leave open registration on and anyone can join a free space. Turn it off and only buyers and invited people get an account; an invite link's first click sets their password.
No. AXL takes no percentage cut of your revenue. What AXL charges is metered instead, from $49/month, with included usage and published overage rates. The full comparisons →
